At a very young age I knew that if you want something in life you have to go out and get it. When I was 14, I told my parents that one day I would own my own business and be on the cover of magazines. They always looked at me and nodded, replying “it takes a lot of hard work and studying to own your own business.”
My parents were two of the hardest working people I have ever seen. Their success story started with my father coming to this country to provide a better life for his family. Fast forward thirty years and my father is a VP at his company and my mother is a Managing Director in hers.
Watching how hard my parents worked was real tough for me growing up. I quickly realized that the owner of the business was the smartest person in the world. He worked the least amount of hours and took home most of the money.
Two days after graduating college I was offered a job in the Restaurant/Night Club as a manager. I had no experience but the owner believed that I had the right set of skills to pull it off. That lasted for about two years. I ran that place with every being of my body. I worked up to 100 hours per week. That job was probably the toughest because I really felt that I lived the job. I never saw friends, family or even had any resemblance of a life. All I knew was the restaurant.
In late 2003 I tried my hand in the mortgage business. I was a fast learner. Within my 1st month I generated some serious sales. I became a top producer within my 3rd month. In my 6th month I was offered the opportunity to manage my own team. My 8th month I became the branch manager. I was living life. I was young and making a whole lot of cash. It felt good. That soon came to end with all the changes in the economy and new banking guidelines.
It was almost two years ago when I realized that I was doing exactly what I said I wouldn’t do when I was growing up. I was working for someone else. I was making their dreams come true, not mine. I needed to make a change. I wanted to spend more time with my family. I wanted my children to know their father.
I turned to the internet- partnered up with a friend of mine- and became industry leaders in a short time. Hence forward Loyal 9 was established. We empower people to change, make smart decisions and then commit to their goals. This new perspective is changing the industry and we're doing it one person at a time.
